Manchester United has only gathered 4 points: can Amorim repeat Ferguson's success.
According to The Sun: A poor start to the season for Manchester United may have direct positive prospects.
This is despite the statistics indicating that Ruben Amorim is currently the worst manager in the Premier League.
GettyIn Sunday’s derby, United lost to neighbors Manchester City with a score of 3-0.
On an emotional day at the Etihad, during the tragic death of Ricky Hatton, Phil Foden and two goals from Erling Haaland destroyed the Red Devils.
This defeat came after a 1-0 loss to Arsenal, a 1-1 draw with Fulham, and a tense 3-2 win over Burnley before the international break.
United now has only four points after the first four matches, sitting in 14th place in the table with a goal difference of -3.
The team is currently eight points off the leaders Liverpool.
Statistics and history
While a low points tally looks bleak, it may have ironic positives.
This is the worst start for the club since the 1992-93 season, however, Sir Alex Ferguson managed to lead his team to the Premier League title at the end of that season.
But the statistics from Opta do not cheer Amorim, who is 40 years old.
He took charge of Manchester United on November 24 of last year, drawing 1-1 with Ipswich.
Since then, out of 17 Premier League clubs, his team sits in LAST place in the table.
They have gathered only 31 points from 31 matches, of which only 8 were victories.
This is similar to Tottenham, but with a worse goal difference of -13 to -4.
At the other end of the table, Liverpool leads with 68 points.
