Sale of items from Margaret Thatcher's home
The contents of one of Margaret Thatcher's former homes were sold at auction for £730,000. Among the items were pieces including the last portrait of the Conservative Prime Minister, who passed away at the age of 87 in 2013.According to The Sun: The items were taken from her home in Chester Square, located in the Belgravia district of London.
Sloane Street Auctions was the third in a series dedicated to Thatcher's personal belongings.
“This auction really provides a glimpse into the intimate aspects of her life,” noted a representative of the auction house.
This auction generated significant interest, as the belongings of one of the most influential political figures in Britain allow for a better understanding of her personality and history.
