This huge house will be the home of an NBA star
Sharapova bought this house for £3 million 13 years ago but has now sold it to basketball star Luka Doncic for £18.5 million, which is six times more.
As reported by OC Register, the new owner of the luxury property is none other than Luka Doncic. At 26, he shocked the NBA by transferring from the Dallas Mavericks to the Los Angeles Lakers in February this year.
Doncic is seen as the future leader of the team, replacing veteran LeBron James. With the support of the club, he signed a new three-year contract for £120 million with the possibility of extending it for another year.
By choosing Los Angeles, Doncic used part of his earnings to purchase Sharapova's former home.
Sharapova's New Life
The 2004 Wimbledon champion plans to return to Europe with her fiancé Alexander Gilkes, with whom she is raising their three-year-old son Theodore, which is why she decided to sell her five-bedroom property in Los Angeles.
In Sharapova's vision, the mansion has stunning panoramic sea views from the balcony and a large kitchen. The backyard features a Japanese pool and a barbecue area, as well as loungers on the lawn.
However, perhaps the best feature of Doncic's new home is the bowling alley with two lanes, allowing him to practice away from the court.
Sharapova was recently inducted into the Tennis Hall of Fame, receiving an elegant gesture from her former rival Serena Williams. She has also expanded her business by launching a line of furniture this summer.

The sale of Maria Sharapova's mansion not only highlights the successes of the tennis player but also sets new accents in the world of sports and real estate. By purchasing this property, Doncic marks a new chapter in his career as he transitions to Los Angeles with ambitions to become the leader of his new team. For Sharapova, this is a step toward a more comfortable life in Europe with her family.
