Ukrainian champion of Europe and medalist at world championships in long jump and triple jump Marina Bekh-Romanchuk has spoken out for the first time after the loud doping scandal that shook the athletics world.
The independent anti-doping organization (AIU) announced her provisional suspension after testosterone was found in her doping sample, News.LIVE reports.

On her Instagram page, Marina noted that the news of the suspension was a heavy blow for her. Bekh-Romanchuk is going through difficult times, but she has no intention of giving up.

Restoring her name and reputation has now become the main challenge for the Ukrainian star. She is not currently going into detail about the investigation but made it clear that she is going through an extremely challenging period in her career.
Throughout her career, the Ukrainian athlete has won gold at the European Championship 2022 and has repeatedly been a medalist at world and continental championships. She remains one of the most titled Ukrainian athletes of her generation.
