Martin Lewis demands investigation: why millions receiving aid are not getting payments of up to £200.
Exclusion of households from payments
According to The Sun: MARTIN Lewis warned that over eight million households receiving social benefits are unable to take advantage of cash payments of up to £200. The savings expert urged the government to find out why those on Universal Credit (UC) are deprived of the opportunity to benefit from bank account switching offers.
“It is unfair, and because of this, opportunities for improving the financial position of these people are lost,” he noted.
In his opinion, urgent action needs to be taken to rectify this situation and ensure access to these payments for all who need them.
This issue has become particularly pressing against the backdrop of economic challenges that many families face. The government must pay attention to the needs of the most vulnerable populations and take necessary steps to alleviate their financial situation, as quality social support can play a decisive role in improving people's lives.
