Elon Musk wishes to acquire OpenAI for $97.4 billion
The founder of Tesla, Elon Musk, has proposed to buy OpenAI, the parent company of ChatGPT, for $97.4 billion. It is known that Musk and OpenAI's CEO, Sam Altman, do not have a good relationship. Musk has even filed lawsuits against him, accusing the AI company of misrepresenting itself as a charitable organization.
OpenAI is a non-profit organization that controls the for-profit company OpenAI LP. Due to this for-profit company, OpenAI has gained significant value, estimated at around $100 billion. Sam Altman plays a key role in the company's development.
In response to Musk's proposal, Altman suggested purchasing Twitter for $9.74 billion.
