The cost of basic products for Ukrainians has risen due to the full-scale war, reports 'Slovo i Sprava'. The war caused serious disruptions in the economy, affecting food prices. This has resulted from hostilities, occupation, and problems with transport, production, and energy supply.

When comparing food prices in November 2021 to November last year, the following changes were noted:

- The price of bread increased by 47.7%.

- The price of a loaf rose by 34.9%.

The level of cost and the importance of the problem require radical solutions to resolve it. Otherwise, we will observe further reduction of grain available for consumption. Cheap products will become a problem at the state level.

- The price of pork neck has doubled.

- Prices for lard increased by 57.7%, chicken fillet by one third, and herring by 128.8%.

- Butter has risen by 111%, milk by 69.3%, and sour cream by 85.9%.

- The price of eggs increased by 101%.

- Prices for pasta, rice, flour, sunflower oil, and sugar have risen in the grocery category.

- The price of buckwheat decreased by 31.1%.

- Vegetables have also become more expensive: beets by 43.9%, cabbage by 154.3%, potatoes by 150.8%, carrots by 207.6%, and onions by 50%.

- Prices for fruits rose: lemons became 134.2% more expensive, bananas by 115.8%.

If sellers continue to raise prices, it will become a problem for Ukrainians, and radical solutions are needed to address the pricing policy.
