Massive Missile and Drone Barrage Hits Ukraine

According to Espreso.tv: In the early hours of June 2nd, Russian forces launched a large-scale missile and drone attack on Ukraine, resulting in casualties and injuries across Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, and the Kyiv region. The assault involved 73 missiles, 41 of which were ballistic. Among the weapons deployed were 33 Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 8 Zircon missiles. This latest wave of aggression follows a similar pattern to an attack on May 24th, as noted by Yuriy Ihnat, spokesperson for Ukraine's Air Force, who stated:

“This once again underscores the terrorist intentions of the enemy.”

Growing Alarm Among Civilians and Global Partners

The renewed offensive has sparked concern both within Ukraine and internationally, as the frequency and intensity of strikes on key urban centers continue to escalate. Such actions highlight the persistent danger the country faces and the urgent need to strengthen defensive readiness. For context, these attacks are part of a broader pattern of Russian missile campaigns targeting critical infrastructure and populated areas, which have intensified since spring 2024.

In light of these developments, it remains critical for the international community to sustain its support for Ukraine in defending its sovereignty and security, as these assaults pose serious risks to regional stability.
