Ukrainians will start receiving fines for meters: what will be checked.
According to inkorr.com: Utility services plan to conduct a large-scale check of meters in all apartments. This was reported by 'Suspilne Lviv'. Water, gas, electricity, and heating meters will be checked. Several managing companies will notify residents in advance about the visit of inspectors.
If apartment owners refuse to provide access to the meters for inspection, they may be fined. The specific amount of the fine has not yet been determined.
One of these companies - 'Lvivteploenergo' - has already announced the need for inspections, explaining that such inspections have been almost nonexistent since the beginning of Russian aggression.
Those found to have signs of unlawful interference with the operation of the meters will be punished particularly severely. In such cases, the fine may reach up to 100 thousand hryvnias.
Recommendations to avoid problems
- Keep all receipts for utility payments
- Have documents confirming work done on the meters
- Trust the replacement of metering devices only to certified masters from specialized organizations
It should be noted that the total debt of Ukrainians for utility services has exceeded 100 billion hryvnias.
Utility services will begin a large-scale check of meters in apartments across the country. If unlawful interference with the operation of the meters is detected, fines may be imposed. Special attention is advised to be paid to keeping receipts and documents related to the maintenance of the meters.
This initiative aims to enhance the efficiency of monitoring utility consumption and ensure fair accounting. Consumers are advised to prepare for inspections to avoid unpleasant surprises and possible fines.
