“The more money you have, the more problems you face.”
The footballer noted that he feels pressure from those around him who don’t realize how much his life has changed:
“People want to maintain the image that was there when you were a child, but you are no longer the same.”
He believes that the life of a professional athlete is not as simple as it may seem from the outside, and fans do not see the secrets that accompany his career. Mbappe emphasized that if it weren't for his passion for football, he might have become disillusioned.
“I am pessimistic about the world of football, but not about life. Life is wonderful.”
According to him, fans in the stadiums have the privilege of only seeing the visible show:
“If it weren’t for my passion, the world of football would have pushed me away.”
Struggle with Former Club and Ambitions
Despite his success, Mbappe holds high standards and is not afraid to express emotions during injuries. He knows that football is his main source of income, which is why he filed a lawsuit against his former club PSG for £55 million in unpaid salary.
“It’s my responsibility according to the law - it’s labor law.”
The footballer emphasized that he would not want to harm PSG, as
“he loves this club, he has friends there.”
Mbappe added that he is now focused on 'Real' and the World Cup this winter. He does not regret his decision to leave PSG, even though the club won the Champions League last season.
The footballer dreams of a second World Cup title, stating that the current French team has “endless potential”:
“This is the most talented team.”
However, he believes that in order to become the best, they need to work hard.
