Medicine Abroad - What Help is Available for Refugees.
Due to the war, many of our citizens have been forced to leave the country. In many European countries, Ukrainian refugees are financially supported and provided with necessary assistance.
Medical Assistance in Europe for Ukrainians
The portal visitukraine.today reported on what medical services are provided for free to refugees abroad.
It is noted that the right to free medical services is granted only to those Ukrainians who are officially registered in the host country. To obtain refugee status, you need to have a Ukrainian passport and provide proof that you permanently resided on the territory of Ukraine until February 22, 2022.
Officially registered refugees have the right to the state healthcare system. They have the right to consult general practice specialists, receive emergency care, and undergo basic examinations.
Registered Ukrainian refugees also have the right to receive basic medications that are part of national programs for free, vaccinations, and in some countries - even psychological support.
Most expensive medical services remain paid - dentistry, diagnostics with expensive equipment (MRI, CT), surgery. National programs also often do not cover expensive medications.
Previously, we reported that one popular resort introduced fines for inappropriate appearances. We also wrote that a popular tropical island in Bali, Indonesia will build a metro for $19 billion.
The provided news is easy to read and lively presented. Ukrainians who became refugees in Europe have the opportunity to receive free medical services which include basic examinations, vaccinations, and some other types of assistance. However, expensive services, such as dentistry or costly diagnostics and medications, remain paid for refugees.Read also
