Ministry of Health introduces a new disability assessment system for former prisoners.
New Disability Assessment System
According to inkorr.com: The Ministry of Health has presented a new system for assessing the daily activities of individuals who have experienced captivity. Now their experiences and health consequences will be taken into account during the assessment.
Civilian's Route After Captivity
The first step is to contact the Commission under the Ministry of Community Development and Territories to confirm the fact of deprivation of personal freedom. This may lead to the inclusion of data in the Unified Register of Individuals who have been deprived of freedom and obtaining the relevant document.
The doctor overseeing the patient submits an electronic referral for assessment. Following this, an expert team analyzes medical documents and makes a decision regarding disability and rehabilitation programs.
Military Person's Route After Captivity
After release, the military undergoes treatment and rehabilitation, enters a special register, undergoes a military medical commission, and receives confirmation of disability.
Upon completion of the disability assessment, an individual can utilize state support programs, receive a pension, or free sanatorium-resort treatment.
Thus, the new disability assessment system for individuals who have experienced captivity takes into account their experiences and health consequences, and simplifies the procedure for obtaining disability status and state support.
