Ukrainians will be introduced to digital medical conclusions: what will change from 2026.
Digital medical conclusions for Ukrainians from 2026
According to inkorr.com: From 2026, Ukrainians will be able to receive medical conclusions in electronic form for driver's licenses and child adoption. This will significantly simplify the processing of these documents if the relevant changes are made to the legislation.
New electronic services in the healthcare sector
Dmytro Chernysh, the head of the Department of Development of the Electronic Health System of the NHIF, spoke during the eHealth Day event at the Public Health exhibition about the plans for digitization. The introduction of electronic medical conclusions will make procedures more transparent, helping to avoid bureaucracy and queues in hospitals.
'We are preparing to launch new electronic medical conclusions next year — for adoption, for drivers. These are important documents that need to be converted to digital format,' — explained Chernysh.
However, the implementation of new services requires changes in legislation. The Parliament needs to update the relevant regulations and laws for digital documents to acquire legal force.
Electronic prescription of assistive devices for patients
Another important news will be the launch of electronic prescriptions for assistive devices for patients undergoing rehabilitation. This service is planned to be launched already this year. The doctor will issue an electronic prescription for the necessary device, which will automatically be sent to the Ministry of Social Policy.
'If earlier these data were formalized on paper, now they will be automatically transmitted to the Ministry of Social Policy so that the patient can receive the necessary device faster,' — emphasized a representative of the NHIF.
The digitization of medical processes is part of the strategy to transfer state services online, which will save citizens' time and reduce risks of corruption.
The plans for digitizing the medical sector in Ukraine include the introduction of new electronic services that will facilitate obtaining medical documents. These changes will help reduce bureaucracy and decrease the time citizens spend in queues. The implementation of innovations will depend on the adoption of legislative changes, but soon Ukrainians will be able to use new digital services in the healthcare sector.
