Michelin-star restaurant in the UK announces closure: what was the reason.
Closure of the MICHELIN star restaurant
According to The Sun: The Crocadon restaurant, located on a 120-acre site in St Mellion, Cornwall, has closed its doors after three years of operation. The owner acknowledged that 'we made mistakes'.
“We made the decision to close the restaurant, and it was not easy, but it was necessary,” said chef Dan Cox in his newsletter to subscribers.
Despite plans to open new establishments in the future, the chef noted that current challenges forced them to stop at this stage.
The restaurant became a favorite spot for many, but unfortunately, it could not overcome the financial difficulties that led to its final closure.
The closure of Crocadon highlights the complexity of running a business in the restaurant industry, especially amid ongoing economic challenges. Many restaurants that appear successful at first glance face issues that can lead to similar cutbacks. Owners still hope to return with new ideas, however, market realities are forcing them to reconsider their plans.
