Microsoft closes loopholes in Windows 11: installing without an account will no longer be possible.
According to Korrespondent.net: Microsoft has begun a decisive fight against methods that allowed installing Windows 11 without internet access and without creating a Microsoft account. This was reported by The Verge. In the new test version, the company announced that it is eliminating all known ways to create a local account during the initial system setup.
The company notes that due to bypasses from logging into a Microsoft account, users completed the initial setup with an incompletely configured device. Now in future versions of Windows 11, users will be forced to complete the setup process only with an internet connection and by logging into an account.
Earlier this year, Microsoft already blocked a popular bypass code “bypassnro”, and now has banned the command “start ms-cxh:localonly”, which allowed creating a local account after the latest changes. Now this command simply restarts the initial system setup process without bypassing the requirement to log in through a Microsoft account.
These bypass methods were especially popular among Windows 11 Pro and Home users, as they allowed avoiding logging in through Microsoft and the associated intrusive features.
It is worth reminding that it was previously reported that Microsoft will continue to support Windows 10 for another year.

In connection with the new changes, Microsoft encourages users to adapt to working through an account, which may affect how Windows is used for many. At the same time, the continued support for Windows 10 creates a buffer time for those who are not yet ready to transition to the new system.
