Emergency top-ups announced for millions of households: who can receive them.
Support for households with prepayment meters
According to The Sun: Millions of families using prepayment meters have the opportunity to receive financial support for bill payments if they face financial difficulties due to falling temperatures. Gas and electricity prices have risen by 2% for many households according to the latest data released by energy regulator Ofgem.
The festive season can be burdened by high costs, therefore urgent assistance will be an important solution for families during this challenging period.
This initiative is part of efforts by the government and energy companies aimed at supporting consumers during times of economic instability. The support can help families better manage energy costs, especially in the colder months when energy consumption typically increases. It is hoped that these measures will help alleviate the financial burden on standard Ukrainian households during the festive preparations.
