Filming Location for Jurassic World

This cottage appeared in the popular American franchise, as much of the film was shot in Great Britain.

Fans have probably noticed that the house in the heart of the historic Rothbury estate served as the backdrop for numerous scenes in the film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

It became the filming location for Lockwood Manor, where heroes Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard attempt to stop the auction of a genetically modified dinosaur.

The cottage is located just behind the castle on the estate featured in the film.

While dinosaurs do not roam here, fans can stay in Cragside Garden Cottage and enjoy other cinematic attractions.

Guests will experience a familiarity with the surrounding environment, which includes the house, an iron bridge, and the landscape.

Staying in the Garden Cottage can be booked through the National Trust.

The cottage has two bedrooms, and prices start at £444 for two nights.

Additionally, free access to the gardens, house, and forests of Cragside is included in the price.

This location, it seems, is quite popular and has already been fully booked until October.

A speaker from the National Trust previously noted: “We have a secret that we can finally share… If you've watched the latest film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, you may recognize Cragside… oh, we meant Lockwood Manor!”

Films Shot in Northumberland

Northumberland is no stranger to filmmakers.

Alnwick Castle was used as Hogwarts School in the first two Harry Potter films.

This occurred amidst numerous other rental homes in Great Britain that have also been featured in films or television shows.

Harry Potter's childhood home is one of the most iconic locations from the film Deathly Hallows and a dream for every Potter fan.

This house is located in Lavenham, Suffolk, which served as the basis for the fictional village of Godric's Hollow in the films; now two guests can rent a room in the house through Airbnb.

Furthermore, the Potter's Hut is a two-bedroom cottage on the grounds of the National Trust's Castle Ward estate in Northern Ireland, where the series Game of Thrones was also filmed.

In Scotland, the luxurious Cape Cove house was used as a filming location for the five-part BBC thriller The Nest.

The house includes a gym, a hot tub, an outdoor shower, a modern barbecue, and access to a private pebble beach.

Also among the Dinah Woods is one of the most interesting houses featured in Sex Education, called Blistors Farm The Bull Pen. This house can accommodate nine guests and includes a game room, an open fire, and a hot tub. A pub is nearby, and a shop is just 100 yards away.

Lostwithiel Manor in the Cornish countryside has been a filming location for many shows, including The Three Musketeers, My Cousin Rachel, Delicious with Dawn French, and of course, Poldark.

This nine-bedroom property has a library, gallery, sitting room with a functioning fireplace, and a lovely garden room.
