The government denied information about the heating season: what is really happening.
According to inkorr.com: Incorrect data about the start of the heating season
In the Ukrainian media, inaccurate information about the start date of the heating season began to spread. Many sources confuse November 1, 2025, with the actual date of launching heating in residential buildings, which is a mistake.
The official channel of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine on October 13, 2025, published a denial of this information, explaining the real meaning of the mentioned date.
Regulation on gas prices
The government decree mentioning November 1, 2025, is of a technical nature and concerns the fixation of natural gas prices for the population. It provides for the continuation of regulated tariffs after October 31, 2025, until March 31, 2026.
The Cabinet of Ministers decided to extend the mechanism of special obligations (PSO) to protect consumers and ensure stability in the market. This is aimed at supporting fixed gas prices for both the population and electricity producers.
Thus, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine denies false information about the start of the heating season, and the government adopted a decree regarding gas prices aimed at protecting consumers and stabilizing the energy market.
