Border guards may not let you cross the border: how much money you need to have with you.
According to inkorr.com: We remind travelers about the importance of having a sufficient amount of money for trips abroad. Failure to comply with this rule may result in being denied entry.
The border service regularly checks travelers' financial capacity and may not allow those who do not have enough funds with them to pass.
According to information from travel companies, the minimum amounts recommended to have with you are:
- 56 euros per day for Slovakia
- 75 Polish zlotys per day for Poland
- 1000 Hungarian forints (about 2.5 euros) per day for Hungary
In addition, it is worth having documents that confirm the purpose of the trip, as well as hotel booking confirmations. Entry into Ukraine also has its financial requirements, which are regulated by border control legislation.
Upon entry into Ukraine
According to government regulations, foreigners must have funds amounting to 20 living minimums, which in 2025 is 60560 hryvnias. This amount depends on the planned duration of stay in the country.
Therefore, having a sufficient amount of money during trips abroad can significantly affect the possibility of entry. It is also important to have documents that confirm the purpose of the trip and housing reservations. Ukrainian legislation defines financial requirements for entry into the country, which should be taken into account before embarking on a journey.
