Health Minister of Lithuania visited Lviv and met with Mayor Cat Levchik
Today, November 13, the Health Minister of Lithuania, Aurimas Piečkauskas, visited Lviv. The government official met with the famous Lviv cat named Levchik. This is evidenced by a photo published by the city mayor, Andriy Sadovyi.
Mayor Cat Levchik settled in Lviv City Council in early September 2020. He was rescued by city hall workers when he was stuck on a tree near the city council balcony. This was reported by the local publication lviv.travel.

It later became known that Levchik is homeless, so he was housed in the city council. Since then, he has been referred to as the cat mayor of the city, and city council employees have started managing social media for him.
In addition, Lviv writer Natalka Maletych wrote a book about the cat, titled 'Cat Levchik and Saint Nicholas'. This book tells a fairy tale story about a cat who becomes the mayor of the city.
Recall that on October 10, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, together with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, held a meeting in London. During their entrance to the residence on Downing Street, a 17-year-old cat Larry unexpectedly ran out of the building. This moment amused the politicians.
