Ministry of Defense receives anti-corruption ISO certificate: what will change for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to inkorr.com: The Ukrainian military operator 'State Logistics Operator' of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has received the international ISO 37001:2016 certificate. It is the first organization in the security and defense sector of Ukraine to achieve such recognition for its anti-corruption management system.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the Canadian company MSECB conducted an independent audit and confirmed that the anti-corruption management system of the State Logistics Operator complies with international standards and is effective.
This is a historic event for Ukraine's defense sector - for the first time, an institution in the security and defense field has achieved such a level of transparency and compliance with global anti-corruption practices. The State Logistics Operator has joined an exclusive group of eight Ukrainian organizations that hold this prestigious certificate and has been included in the international register of certified ISO organizations.
Auditors thoroughly examined all aspects of the anti-corruption infrastructure and compliance mechanisms of the State Logistics Operator. The assessment included procedures for vetting business partners, a conflict of interest management system, mechanisms for verifying the integrity of personnel, methods for assessing corruption risks, whistleblower protection policies, and an internal audit system.
Importance of obtaining the certificate
Obtaining the ISO 37001:2016 certificate is of great significance for international cooperation. Many foreign partners require a certified compliance system as a prerequisite for starting cooperation.
This step reinforces the trust of international partners in Ukraine, especially in the context of military-technical assistance, and creates opportunities for expanding cooperation in the logistics support of the Armed Forces.
The development of the anti-corruption management system of the Ukrainian military operator is an important step towards strengthening the trust of international partners in Ukraine.
