The Ministry of Defense introduces new contracts for military personnel: what will change.
A new model of long-term contracts for military personnel
According to inkorr.com: The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine plans to present a new model of long-term contracts for military personnel for discussion by the parliamentary defense committee. This initiative will allow contracts to be signed not only by new conscripts but also by those already serving in the Armed Forces or other security and defense structures.
The main aspects of the new model will include:
- Conditions for extending the contract;
- Increase in monetary support.
In addition, contracts will offer motivational social packages, as well as the possibility of exemption from conscription during mobilization after two years of service. A member of parliament emphasized the importance of maintaining social justice and avoiding discrimination among military personnel working under different types of contracts. Legislative changes for the implementation of this initiative have already been adopted, and only the issue of financial support for military personnel who agree to the new terms of service remains to be resolved.
This initiative aims to improve the conditions of service for military personnel by providing them with more social guarantees and incentives. It is important for military personnel to feel support from the state in their responsible duty, especially in the current security situation in Ukraine.
