The Ministry of Defense is implementing new quality standards: how this will change defense procurement.
New professional standards in the field of defense procurement
According to inkorr.com: The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is actively implementing a state quality assurance system that meets international standards. The Main Directorate of State Quality Assurance at the Ministry of Defense has begun developing two professional standards aimed at improving quality in the field of defense procurement: 'Quality Systems Auditor for Defense Industry Enterprises' and 'State Quality Assurance Specialist.'
The introduction of these standards will allow the assessment of personnel compliance in the field of quality and ensure the effective functioning of the state quality assurance system in accordance with international requirements. In addition, specialists will be able to engage in the development of draft laws and regulations in this area, as well as the preparation of international agreements and the adaptation of NATO standards.
These innovations are an important step towards modernizing the defense procurement system in Ukraine. They will ensure better compliance with international norms, which, in turn, can positively affect the country's defense capability. The standards being implemented are intended not only to improve the quality of procurement but also to contribute to the development of professionals in this key area.
