Ministry of Defense to purchase food products for 37 billion UAH: how military nutrition will change.
Purchase of food products for the next year by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine
According to inkorr.com: The state logistical operator of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has begun preparations for the procurement of food for the entire next year. Total expenses for these purchases are estimated at approximately 37 billion UAH. This new approach will ensure stable product supply for military units, simplify the work of suppliers, and allow better planning of production. Previously, materials were procured separately every six months.
This year, the logistics department is launching the procurement cycle early again, even earlier than last year.
Quality control and regional supply strategy
New contracts will retain enhanced quality control conditions, especially for dairy products, to avoid falsification.
'The regional supply strategy, which has already proven its effectiveness in the previous period, also continues to operate. Under this model, a supplier is attached to a specific region (province), which allows comfortable management of logistics, timeliness of deliveries, and quick response to possible changes,' the Ministry of Defense reported.
As of the end of October 2025: over 599 million kg of products have been shipped; over 249 million liters of drinking water have been delivered; over 85,000 applications from military units have been processed.
The state logistical operator of the Ministry of Defense continues its work, providing military units with uninterrupted supply of food products. Now procurements are planned not only for six months but for the entire next year. The implementation of the regional supply strategy contributes to better management and prompt response to requests.
