The Ministry of Defense has launched a drone rating: military personnel can now evaluate equipment.
A rating system has been introduced on the DOT-Chain Defence marketplace
According to inkorr.com: A new feature has appeared on the DOT-Chain Defence weapon marketplace - a rating mechanism that allows military personnel to evaluate ordered drones and leave feedback on their use in combat conditions.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Defense, this new capability will help units make more informed decisions, as they will be able to base their choices not only on technical specifications but also on actual combat experience.
'Each authorized user can rate on a five-point scale - from 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent). In reviews, both advantages and disadvantages of drones can be noted, including characteristics of their use in field conditions, ease of use, assembly quality, resistance to interference, etc.,' the agency noted.
At present, only military personnel can see the ratings, but in the future, manufacturers will also gain access to them. This will allow them to interact directly with consumers and respond to soldiers' comments.
The development of the rating system was a response to requests from military personnel who were the first to take part in the pilot project. This is just the initial stage among numerous proposals made during visits to brigades and surveys of military personnel.
Implementing the rating system in the DOT-Chain Defence marketplace will provide military users with the opportunity to evaluate products more objectively and make informed decisions when choosing drones. It also motivates manufacturers to improve the quality of their products and actively communicate with clients. The introduction of this system is a first step in the marketplace's development and meets the military's needs for improved interaction and selection of technical means to perform their tasks.
This initiative demonstrates that military personnel have the opportunity not only to influence the development of products but also to open new communication channels with manufacturers. Such a partnership between the military and business can significantly enhance the effectiveness of using modern technologies in combat conditions, which, in turn, may impact overall security and the effectiveness of task execution at the front.
