The Ministry of Development and Habitat for Humanity have started collaborating on housing for IDPs.
Collaboration between the Ministry and Habitat for Humanity
According to inkorr.com: The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine, together with the international organization Habitat for Humanity in Ukraine, are joining forces to provide housing for internally displaced persons. Properties that are currently vacant can become the basis for housing for these people. Collaboration with Habitat for Humanity will allow for efficient use of existing resources and expand the housing stock.
Project and its goals
As part of the joint project, it is planned to conduct identification, assessment, and classification of thousands of real estate objects, as well as prepare investment cases and create tools for local authorities. The data collected during the project will be used to provide housing assistance transparently. The project will conclude with a national seminar for partners, where results and investment opportunities will be presented.

This initiative is aimed not only at improving the housing situation for internally displaced persons but also at promoting more active interaction between government structures and international organizations. The collected data and developed solutions may become the basis for further programs aimed at improving housing conditions in Ukraine.
