Instant Transfers in Ukraine: What Are the Risks and Benefits for Customers

According to inkorr.com: The digital transformation in Ukrainian banks continues, accompanied by the growing popularity of instant transfers. The updated version of the National Bank's Electronic Payment System allows for transfers at any time, without weekends.

According to Natalia Rudukha, head of the project office at Globus Bank, the main advantage of instant transfers is their speed and availability: 'Such payments are processed in a matter of seconds.'

This method of transferring funds from IBAN to IBAN is extremely convenient for consumers, as it allows operations to be conducted 24 hours a day. According to experts, instant transfers could change the practice of cashless payments in the near future.

Risks and Benefits of Instant Transfers

Although instant transfers allow for quick crediting of funds, they also carry certain risks. For example, in case of an error, returning funds can be complicated or even impossible. Banks may also halt suspicious payments in accordance with legal requirements.

Natalia Rudukha emphasized: 'Customers should be careful when entering details and amounts.'

The National Bank of Ukraine has stated that it does not foresee additional fees for instant transfers, but warns about financial monitoring and the accuracy of the stated purpose of the payment.

The growing popularity of instant transfers in the Ukrainian banking sector indicates an active implementation of digital technologies and increased convenience for customers. However, while enjoying the benefits of this service, one should remember the risks that may arise during financial operations.
