International Cyclists' Union banned Russian athletes representing CSKA.
The International Cyclists' Union (UCI) has banned Russian cyclists of the CSKA team from participating in competitions following their participation in the 'Tour Faso' race. These decisions were made because the cyclists represented CSKA, which contradicts UCI rules. The CSKA team includes several athletes as well as team members who have been included in the 'blacklist'. They are now banned from participating in further UCI competitions.
In an official letter to the President of the International Association of World Games, Ukraine called to maintain the ban on the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in the XII World Games in 2025. The letter emphasized that Russian aggression against Ukraine continues, and Russian occupiers continue to terrorize the Ukrainian people.
