Mobilized the Director of the Surgical Instruments Plant: What This Threatens for Medical Professionals.
According to inkorr.com: The Ternopil Territorial Recruitment Center (TCRC) has mobilized Pavlo Akiyev, the head of the only company in Ukraine that manufactures surgical instruments for military hospitals and civilian medical institutions.
This information has been confirmed by the Telegram channel 'Report of the Sergeant', citing unofficial sources.
The Importance of Production for Medicine
Pavlo Akiyev heads an enterprise that supplies life-saving medical equipment. The product range of the company includes:
- linear and disk dermatome for treating burns;
- oscillating saws for quick amputations;
- canulated drills for installing Ilizarov apparatus and drilling bones;
- perforators for treating severe burns.
Their products are actively used in leading medical institutions, including military hospitals and the 'Okhmatdyt' hospital.
The Mobilization Situation
Despite vision problems, Pavlo Akiyev successfully passed the military-medical commission and received a summons to participate in military actions, which caused outrage among his colleagues. They emphasize the importance of his company’s work for the medical process.
'And here they detain such a specialist, who is really working for medicine (and I have known Pavlo for over 15 years), who works almost round the clock - those who are supposed to defend the country, not to stop those who save our fighters. And they keep him forcibly. They have already chosen a unit to which he will be sent... And the military-medical commission was passed in a matter of minutes. I ask Pasha: - 'But you have vision problems!' (he wears glasses). - 'I don’t care, I am fit...', - he replies. He has repeatedly asked to go to the front, but I understood that his work was too important. Because without his instruments, doctors simply cannot work.'
The question arises who will provide maintenance and repair of high-precision instruments, as they constantly require technical support. Preparing qualified specialists takes years of training and experience.
At the Ternopil Recruitment Center, the head of a company has been mobilized, which can lead to serious complications in the maintenance of important medical equipment in healthcare facilities.
The situation with the mobilization of Pavlo Akiyev raises important questions regarding the provision of medical institutions with necessary instruments in wartime conditions. His work is critically important for the successful treatment of the wounded, and the loss of a professional with such experience can negatively impact medical assistance. Society needs to discuss and seek solutions to balance between mobilization and support for the medical sector, especially in this difficult time.
