Up to 120,000 UAH Monthly for Young Ukrainians: New 'Contract 18-24' Program Launched.
Contract 18-24: Fresh Opportunities for Ukraine's Youth
According to Novyny.live: Ukraine's Armed Forces are now offering enhanced terms for young recruits through the 'Contract 18-24' initiative. Citizens under 25 can receive monthly payments of up to 120,000 hryvnias. This effort aims to encourage young men to join military service.
Financial Terms and Mobilization Context
Under the new conditions, a one-time signing bonus of 1,000,000 hryvnias is available for those who enlist. This amount is distributed in three stages:
- 200,000 hryvnias are paid upon signing the contract,
- 800,000 hryvnias will be provided in two installments over the contract's duration.
The Ministry of Defense has noted that these terms may be adjusted in specific cases.
It is important to note that citizens who have turned 25 are subject to general mobilization. Therefore, the 'Contract 18-24' program offers a pathway for younger individuals who wish to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine with improved financial incentives.
The introduction of the 'Contract 18-24' program reflects the Ukrainian government's broader strategy to attract younger personnel amid the ongoing conflict. With a heightened mobilization focus on those over 25, these new financial incentives could play a key role in persuading young citizens to enlist. This initiative also suggests a need to refresh military ranks and ensure competitive financial support for those ready to defend the nation.
