Onana explains why he shoved a fan after Cameroon’s failure.

According to The Sun: The Manchester United goalkeeper, André Onana, was involved in an incident with a fan after Cameroon lost 1-0 to Cape Verde, reports SunSport.

The 29-year-old goalkeeper, who has not had a particularly successful start to the season, played in this crucial match which was part of the World Cup qualification.

After the final whistle, fans rushed onto the pitch to take selfies with the players.

Onana's behavior was discussed: he remained on the goal line as he dealt with Deylon Livramento from Cape Verde one-on-one and could not save the shot that led to the goal.

This result allowed Cape Verde to qualify for the World Cup for the first time in history, while Cameroon remained in second place in the group, keeping their chances of advancement alive.

A video surfaced on social media showing Onana shoving a fan as he made his way off the field, and then a bottle flew at him from behind.

“You know that after the game, most fans, especially those from Cape Verde, storm the field,” – a source said.

He clarified that Onana was simply trying to get through the crowd to the locker room as quickly as possible as delays occurred on the field.

Meanwhile, his teammates continued to hope to take a photo with him.

Reports suggest negotiations are already underway for a possible loan of Onana to Turkish club Trabzonspor.
