Morrisons launches one-hour delivery: how to get products on time.
New grocery delivery service from Morrisons
According to The Sun: Morrisons has introduced a new delivery service that allows customers to receive fresh groceries in just one hour.
The 'Morrisons Now' service is available to shoppers living near one of the 420 stores participating in the program.
MorrisonsStarting today, customers can order delivery of fresh food from Morrisons straight to their doorstep within an hour.
Shoppers can order up to 30 different items with a minimum order amount of £15.
The delivery cost is £4.50, and orders will be delivered by a courier on a bike or car.
Currently, the service is available from 158 stores, but it plans to launch in all 420 stores by the end of October.
To place an order, customers need to visit Morrisons.com or use the Morrisons Groceries app, select the Morrisons Now option, and create a basket.
Customers can also track their order from store to doorstep through the app.
Charlotte Exell, Morrisons' online sales director, said: “We are excited to offer this service to our customers nationwide, supporting them with fast delivery of fresh food.”
“We know that life is dynamic, and Morrisons Now is designed to help simplify these daily moments, delivering what you need in just one hour.”
Shoppers will be able to use the 'instant shopping' feature for quick ordering.
For convenience, customers can save their payment details and addresses in their account.
A statement from Morrisons says: “Morrisons Now is another step in our commitment to convenience and customer service, providing shoppers with more ways to quickly access fresh, high-quality products.”
The grocery giant is keeping pace with other major supermarkets by implementing fast delivery.
Sainsbury's launched its Chop Chop service in 2016, starting with just 20 stores, and quickly expanded it to 50 by May 2020.
Meanwhile, Tesco offers its customers Tesco Whoosh, promising delivery of items within 60 minutes.
Waitrose uses other platforms such as Deliveroo, UberEats, and JustEat for delivery to its customers' doors.
Asda offers the option of express delivery within one hour or same-day delivery.
The online supermarket Ocado also has a service called Ocado Zoom, which operates in certain cities and delivers within an hour.
GettyMorrisons plans to implement this program in all 420 stores, opening up new opportunities for shopping convenience in the future.
