New electronic labels in supermarkets
The supermarket giant Morrisons has announced a significant update to its stores. They are implementing electronic labels on shelves, allowing customers to see the most up-to-date prices on a variety of products. The store, which this week announced the closure of more than 100 sales points, plans to update its remaining 497 supermarkets.“This move will provide greater price transparency and enhance convenience for shoppers,” the company representatives noted. The implementation of electronic labels will help the store adapt to modern technologies, in particular, automating the price update process. This, in turn, is expected to positively impact customer service, as shoppers will be able to quickly obtain current information on product prices. Such changes reflect the company's desire to remain competitive in the market and improve the shopping experience.
