Ukraine has simplified the document processing for families of the deceased and captives: what has changed
Ukraine has simplified the document processing in the case of death, captivity, or disappearance of military personnel during combat operations. The changes to the procedure were made by the Main Directorate for the Protection of the Rights of Servicemen at the direction of the Ministry of Defense. According to the new procedure, if there are no signs of a crime, the investigation into the disappearance of military personnel without a trace, captivity or hostage-taking, internment, or death of fighters will not be conducted. These changes simplify the work of military units' headquarters, allow for quicker communication with the families of fighters, and reduce the number of technical errors in document preparation. It is worth noting that over the past eight months, more than 29,000 fighters returned to service, and their provisioning will be resumed. Additionally, it should be mentioned that a new function has appeared in the 'Reserv+' program, which gives some couples the opportunity to receive a deferral. In short, Ukraine is reforming the document processing procedure in the case of death, captivity, or disappearance of military personnel during combat operations, simplifying the process for military headquarters and the families of fighters.
