According to UATV: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called for intensified pressure on Russia and the swift adoption of the European Union’s 21st sanctions package. His appeal follows a large-scale Russian assault on Ukraine overnight on July 14. The attack involved 135 drones and 10 missiles, resulting in casualties.
Details of the Attack
According to reports, seven people were wounded in the Kharkiv region, including a child. Three others were injured in the Chernihiv region. In Zaporizhzhia, a residential apartment building was damaged. Kyiv recorded damage to 16 structures, including a school and a business. Additional strikes hit the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, and Odesa regions.
Zelenskyy stated that
“pressure on Russia must be increased. There is no time to waste, and the EU’s 21st sanctions package should be adopted this week.”He also described the scale of the attack:
“Last night, the Russians launched 135 drones and 10 missiles of various types at our cities and communities, most of them ballistic.”The president emphasized that “a multi-story building in Zaporizhzhia was damaged. Russia struck Kyiv with ballistic missiles.”
