Ministry of Health expands rehabilitation: over 286 thousand Ukrainians received assistance.

According to inkorr.com: The Ministry of Health is gradually expanding the rehabilitation system for citizens. According to the Ministry of Health, already 367 medical institutions provide free assistance in inpatient conditions, and 512 - in the form of outpatient care. During the first 8 months of 2025, more than 286 thousand people used rehabilitation services, and the total state expenditures on these services amounted to over 3 billion UAH.

The task for the next year is to develop outpatient rehabilitation to make it accessible to every community. The Ministry of Health has already introduced a new format of assistance - a rehabilitation monopservice, which simplifies the treatment process for patients and distributes the workload among medical institutions. Within the framework of the nationwide mental health program, an ecosystem of mental health care is being created, which has already allowed the opening of 104 mental health centers and plans to create at least another 200 new centers.

Rehabilitation in the health sector is gradually expanding, providing free assistance in inpatient and outpatient conditions. Future plans include the development of outpatient rehabilitation and the establishment of new mental health centers to support the mental health of citizens.

Ukraine is not stagnant in matters of rehabilitation and support for citizens. The measures already implemented and planned are aimed at improving the quality of medical care and supporting those who need rehabilitation or support in the field of mental health.
