Jake Paul offers millions: why Muhammad Ali's grandson refused the fight.
Proposed amount for the fight with Jake Paul
According to The Sun: NICO ALI WALSH, the grandson of the legendary Muhammad Ali, was advised by his manager to set aside his family legacy and accept a lucrative offer for a fight with Jake Paul. The 25-year-old middleweight admitted that he turned down a sum of 3 million dollars (£2.2m) for a fight with the YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul last year.
New career management
However, his new manager Amer Abdallah, who has previously worked with other famous athletes, insisted that Nico reconsider this opportunity.
“Turning down such an opportunity could prove to be a mistake. It’s a chance that is important not to miss,” his manager stated.
We can only wait to see if Nico agrees to the fight, considering his family legacy and the financial possibilities that could arise from this bout.
This fight could be a significant step for Nico, as a meeting with Jake Paul would not only increase his popularity but also help strengthen his financial position. Time will tell if the boxer can overcome the contradictions between his legacy and his ambition for success in boxing.
