MVS warns drivers about fake medical certificates: what are the consequences

According to inkorr.com: Ukrainian drivers have been warned about the dangers of fraud involving counterfeit medical certificates. This information was disseminated by the Main Service Center of the MVS.

Drivers are cautioned about the increase in cases of fraud where criminals offer to buy medical certificates online to obtain driver's licenses without a real examination.

Methods of scammers

Fake offers spread through social networks, messengers, and unreliable web resources. Criminals create fake websites that imitate official portals of state institutions and medical centers. After paying for the 'services' and providing personal data, citizens risk becoming victims of data theft.

Fraud incidents are regularly detected. Recently in Lviv, during an exam, a TSCC employee found a counterfeit medical certificate from a citizen born in 2005.

Consequences for offenders

Using fake certificates can lead to fines, arrest, or imprisonment. Such actions carry serious consequences under the law.

How to avoid fraud

  • Only contact licensed medical institutions;
  • Do not give personal data to strangers and untrusted websites;
  • Ignore ads for 'quick' certificates on social media;
  • If faced with fraud, it is advisable to contact cyberpolice.

The MVS emphasizes the spread of fake medical certificates for drivers online. This can lead to serious consequences, such as fines or arrest. Therefore, drivers are urged to be careful, check the authenticity of documents, and only contact official institutions.
