Fake Vehicle Registration Certificates: How Drivers Can Verify Document Authenticity.
According to inkorr.com: Drivers in Ukraine now have the opportunity to conveniently verify the authenticity of vehicle registration certificates. As reported by representatives of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the new documents are equipped with protective elements that make counterfeiting impossible – this is especially relevant in the context of the market for fake documents on the internet.
Modern Protective Technologies
Vehicle registration certificates are made using the latest technologies that provide a high level of protection against forgery. They are in the form of plastic cards with an integrated security chip; the series and number are applied using laser engraving. The black print applied to both sides disappears under infrared radiation, and the design incorporates background grids and symbols of Ukraine.
Thanks to the new protective elements that became part of the document from August 2024, the certificates also received a holographic coating. The authenticity of the document can be verified using a QR code that redirects to the website of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
If the owner's data does not display online for certificates issued before 2013, it is advised to contact the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for a new document. The exchange for the new sample is selective.
For any questions, please contact (044) 290-19-88 or through the official pages of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on social media. Additional information can be found on the official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Now, Ukrainian drivers can confidently verify their vehicle documents thanks to the new protective technologies. The vehicle registration certificates are equipped with modern security elements, including a holographic coating, and for verification of authenticity, QR codes and consultations at the Ministry of Internal Affairs service center are available.
These changes are an important step in the fight against counterfeiting and ensuring the security of vehicle document circulation. The new technologies not only increase the level of document protection but also create additional opportunities for verifying their authenticity, which will undoubtedly be useful for many drivers.
