Moving to a new home
According to The Sun: When Brenda Miles, 98 years old, was moved to new accommodation after spending her £240,000 on medical expenses, she asked:
“Where are all my friends?”The widow with dementia had lived at the Innage Grange care home in Bridgnorth, Shropshire, for five years, but just two days after being moved, she was transferred to another facility.
Transition to new conditions
The move occurred without warning, which shocked her. Brenda felt lonely and did not understand why she was moved so quickly. She is now trying to get used to the new surroundings, but still misses the familiar people and her former home.
This situation illustrates the difficulties older people face when they are moved to new places without proper support and preparation. Communication with relatives and providing psychological support can help overcome such difficult moments in life.
