Tom Markwand again in an important role

According to The Sun: Horse racing specialist Tom Markwand, who previously found success at St Leger with Joseph O'Brien on Galileo Chrome, now has a new task – to win this prestigious event for Aidan O'Brien.

On Saturday, September 13, during the live broadcast on ITV, Markwand will ride the favorite SCANDINAVIA in the final of the British Classic season, sponsored by Betfred. This Goodwood Cup winner is one of three representatives from the Ballydoyle team that could pose serious competition.

Competitors and forecast

Among the other entrants will be the winners of the Epsom and Irish Derby, as well as Stay True, who previously placed fourth in the Great Voltigeur. A total of seven horses will participate in the race: Queen’s Vase winner Carmers, Further and Tarriance from Andrew Balding, and Roger Varian with Rahib.

Some of these horses present worthy competition, and in this context, Scandinavia looks impressive. Since its participation in the Queen’s Vase, where it finished fifth, its rating has increased from 90 to 117, indicating that it has gained form and stamina.
