New DI License Plates Appear on the Roads of Ukraine: What It Means for Drivers.
New License Plate System in Ukraine
According to inkorr.com: New vehicle license plates of the DI series have appeared in Ukraine, which are not tied to any region of the country. This innovative system allows obtaining license plates online without visiting government offices, through the 'Diia' portal.
Features of the New License Plates
In addition to the DI series for passenger cars and PD for motorcycles and mopeds, series ED and DC are also available, which can be obtained through the driver's electronic cabinet. The new license plates symbolize the transition to a digital format of registration, replacing traditional paper procedures.
The new plates can be obtained through an online application on the 'Diia' portal by selecting the desired series. The cost is about 1,500 hryvnias, which includes the price of the certificate template and the new plates. Thus, citizens with a verified profile in 'Diia' can take advantage of this service without unnecessary hassle and time expenditure.
The introduction of new vehicle license plates simplifies the process of obtaining them, making it more accessible and convenient for drivers. This is part of a broader transition to digital services in Ukraine aimed at increasing the efficiency of administrative procedures and reducing queues in government institutions.
