The deceased, Hamzat Kazina Kalavole, born April 3, 1983, and Mbaha Stephen Udoka, born January 7, 1988, were serving with the 423rd Guards Motor Rifle Regiment of the 4th Guards Kantemirovskaya Tank Division.

Their contracts with the Russian army were signed in the second half of 2025: Kalavole signed his on August 29, and Udoka on September 28.
