Ukraine has developed a new revision of the state standard for traffic lights
The Ukrainian Scientific Research and Training Center for Standardization, Certification, and Quality has developed a new revision of the State Standard of Ukraine (DSTU), which will regulate the appearance of traffic lights. The changes will come into effect on May 1, 2025.
One of the most important changes is the replacement of the green color with an emerald hue. New models of bicycle and bike-pedestrian traffic lights, chevron arrows, and countdown timers on traffic lights are also planned to be introduced. It is worth emphasizing that the replacement of old traffic lights is not foreseen, and the changes only pertain to future reconstructions and road construction.
