An explosion occurred in a high-rise building in Zakarpattia, there is a victim.
In the city of Svalyava, Zakarpattia region, today, October 14, an explosion occurred in a high-rise building. According to the Zakarpattia region police on Facebook, one person died as a result of the incident.
According to law enforcement officials, at 14:39 a report was received about an explosion in one of the apartment buildings on Promyslova Street in Svalyava. This caused window damage in the building's entrance.
Police managed to find out that the explosion occurred on the first floor of a five-story building and was likely caused by gas. The causes of the incident are currently being established.
Law enforcement reported that one person died, and there is no exact information about the injured.
Similar incidents have happened before
In June, a similar situation occurred in Kropyvnytskyi, when a gas explosion resulted in injuries to two children. Both were taken to the Kirovohrad Regional Children's Hospital in a state of moderate severity.
Also, in the Ternopil region, a gas explosion caused the destruction of a private house, and the owner was hospitalized.
Earlier, an explosion occurred in a residential building near Kyiv, during which an infant was injured.
