An explosion occurred at a chemical plant in India: over 40 dead.
An explosion occurred at the Sigachi Industries pharmaceutical plant in India, causing a fire. The plant served various industries such as pharmaceuticals, food, cosmetics, and chemicals.
According to preliminary data, the explosion occurred in the reactor block. As a result of the incident, 42 people died.
The state's health minister, Damodara Rajanarasimha, stated that at the time of the incident, about 90 workers were at the plant.
“The explosion completely destroyed the industrial depot, and the force of the explosion was so strong that some workers were thrown into the air and fell about 100 m away,” he added.
In January, an explosion at an explosives factory in the city of Javali-Viejo in Spain resulted in six injuries. Five of the injured were hospitalized, while the sixth was treated at the scene.
