Suspicion against the leader of the parliamentary faction

According to TSN.ua: NABU and SAP reported suspicion against the leader of the parliamentary faction for providing improper benefits to People's Deputies. The investigation uncovered a mechanism for regular payments in exchange for loyal behavior during voting. The revelation of facts regarding the receipt of improper benefits by People's Deputies occurred in December 2025, after which in January 2026, the faction leader was uncovered and suspicion was announced.

Qualification of actions and identified mechanisms

The actions of the suspect have been classified under part 4 of article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. According to the investigation materials, there was a monthly format of payments that ensured the loyalty of deputies during voting. Instructions regarding voting were also identified, which were sent through a secure messenger. Additionally, the investigation established a procedure for gathering information on voting results and agreements regarding the inclusion of bills on the agenda, indicating an organized system of influence on deputies. Discussions about personnel issues in parliament also became part of this scheme.

The current situation underscores the seriousness of the problem of corruption in the upper echelons of power in Ukraine. The uncovering of such schemes could lead to significant changes in the political environment of the country and provoke a demand for reforms aimed at increasing transparency and accountability of deputies. It will be important to monitor the further development of events and possible consequences for other participants in the parliamentary process.
