According to TSN.ua: On February 15, Ukraine's National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) detained former Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko as he attempted to cross the state border. This arrest is part of the ongoing 'Midas' investigation into alleged corruption within the country's energy sector.

Galushchenko served as Ukraine's Minister of Energy from 2021 until 2025. He subsequently held the position of Minister of Justice from July 17 to November 19, 2025. Authorities plan to transport him to Kyiv, where he will be formally notified of the charges against him. In the 'Midas' case, he is currently listed as a witness.

Galushchenko was removed from Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council on November 14, 2025, and the Verkhovna Rada dismissed him from his role as Justice Minister on November 19, 2025. A prosecutor from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office stated that Galushchenko

secured personal benefit by lobbying Mindich's interests to the President and utilizing services arranged by Mindich.
