The National Bank of Ukraine set limits on foreign currency card operations starting from September 10. This was reported by the bank's press service.

Under the new rules, Ukrainians abroad will be able to spend no more than 100,000 hryvnias per month on purchases using cards issued by Ukrainian banks. This restriction applies to certain items such as watches, jewelry, silver products, precious stones, and coins.

"The need for this restriction was shown by an analysis conducted by the National Bank of Ukraine together with banks and payment systems. It confirmed the existence of attempts to avoid the restriction on the purchase of bank metals outside Ukraine, established by the NBU during martial law," the statement said.

In addition, the National Bank of Ukraine limited transactions with real estate agents and managers abroad. A monthly limit of 500,000 hryvnias was set for operations with the seller code 6513 (real estate agents and managers), which is used for the payment of management fees, accommodation fees, and related commissions.

"The limit of 500,000 hryvnias takes into account the needs of Ukrainians who are abroad or traveling outside the country, and satisfies the needs of 98% of bank clients who conduct such operations. It will prevent attempts to bypass the NBU restrictions and avoid the loss of significant amounts of capital," the representatives of the National Bank of Ukraine emphasized.

It is also worth mentioning that PrivatBank, Oschadbank, and PUMB support the National Bank of Ukraine's campaign called SuperCoins, which involves collecting coins to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
