Naftogaz names verification terms for different classes of gas meters.
The company 'Naftogaz of Ukraine' urges consumers to regularly check gas meters to ensure the accuracy of measurements and the correctness of billing for the gas consumed.
According to the company's information, the frequency of verification depends on the accuracy class of the meter. Meters with an accuracy class of 1 must be checked every two years, while for meters with an accuracy class of 1.5, this period is eight years.
'Like any mechanism, a gas meter requires regular inspection,' emphasizes Naftogaz and explains the importance of this procedure for determining the meter's operability and the accuracy of gas consumption measurements.
It is worth noting that consumers have the right to request an extraordinary inspection of the meter in case of doubts about its accuracy, damage to the verification seal, or after a long period of inactive use of the meter.
All costs associated with the inspection, including disassembly, transportation, and reinstallation of the gas meter, are covered by the Operator of gas distribution networks of the relevant region where the consumer resides.
Earlier, Naftogaz explained the reason why gas may burn in a different color.
